Liam O'Loughlin, Peter Rattray and Megan Brooker were named in the Canterbury Open Surf League Team, while Tom Mouldey, George Thomas and Rory Taylor were named in the Canterbury U19 Surf League Team over the weekend. They will be travelling up to Mount Maunganui to compete against the other 8 Districts, in the Lion Foundation New Zealand Surf League on the 7th and 8th of February.

The Lion Foundation Surf League is a major surf life saving event that showcases the best ocean athletes in New Zealand going head to head for their Districts. From Auckland in the North through to Otago in the South, the Districts will fight it out for the glory of winning the glamour event on the annual Surf Life Saving calendar.

Well done to our members on being selected, you all thoroughly deserve your positions in the teams. We wish you all the best for the competition.

Congratulations!
