NZ Ocean Athletes

NZ Ocean Athletes event this Saturday.

At twilight carnival tonight we were advised by Dave Smith that he has organised a "training session" at Taylors Mistake this Saturday the 7th from 8 am to midday.  This is not a formal Surf Canterbury organised Carnival but it will be run in the same format as the NZ Ocean Athletes event. The aim is give the athletes exposure to the full length courses that they will find at NZ Ocean Athletes.

The session is open to athletes that have been chosen by their club (or are on the verge of selection) to attend NZ Ocean Athletes.

The events are;

  • Board race
  • Board rescue
  • Board relay
  • Swim
  • Run, swim, run
  • Tube rescue
  • Diamond race
  • Grand Cameron (up to coaches)

No results will be taken.  All age groups combined.

Apologies for the short notice but it would be valuable experienceif you can attend.
