The event scheduled for Saturday 10-Sunday 11 October 2009 is one of 30 other sports that make up the larger World Masters Games.
The three New Zealanders are looking forward to mixing it up with an estimated 1000 competitors from all over the world, but as always are very wary of the their Australian counterparts who are always so strong on the beach.
Events to be contested include: Board Race, Surf Race, 2 km Beach run, 1km Beach run, Iron Man, Beach flags and Sprints.
