The Patron of Taylors Mistake SLSC is Jim Turpin. Patrons usually have a long history of support for their club, plus a high profile and Jim is no exception. A member since the 1950s, past President (1983 to 1986), life member plus treasurer – 1963 to 1976, plus 2001 to the present day. He is certainly, “in it for life”!
Jim is part of an extended family that has significant association with Taylors Mistake. He is a bach owner and his brother Barry was a ‘legend’. His other brother Rex was also active in the club for several years. Jim married June Harrow, another stalwart of the club.
